The badgers return home ever later in autumn, in the video we see that they arrived at the burrows at 6.30 pm. In the background a buzzard is clearly heard "Kjää, kjäää.". Closer a chiff-chaff ticks gently.

The sun already rises quite late, at 6.50, and the homecomings of the badgers too have moved to more “humane” times compared to the summer. So before going to work or school in the mornings it is worthwhile to have a peek at the camera, and maybe hit the badgers returning from nightly forays. In the badger forum daily track is kept of all the comings and goings at the sett and it shows that lately it is likely to see the badger returning to the burrow between 6 and 7. Once the badger came home at about 7.30 and sometimes he strays around in total darkness at night around 2 o’clock near the burrow. Watching the camera in the morning has the additional pleasure of hearing colourful forest sounds. In the evenings the badger also leaves at comfortable times for viewers – it is worth beginning to wait for him just before sunset at 20.00.

We also recommend having a look at the badger forum, with videos of the comings and goings of the badgers. Note the page numbers there – the most recent additions are at the end (page 41 and onwards). Among other things there is a new video on bringing in hay, which was also mentioned a week ago for the South Estonian badgers.
