140 million European migrant birds, trapped and doomed to die. Just now, right now. 700 km of trapping nets along the entire Mediterranean coast of Egypt, from Ghaza to Libya, and in them every seventeenth European migrant bird perishes. The orioles, quails, redbacked shrikes, corncrakes etc nesting here. We expect the birds to return in spring, we don’t protect them here for somebody’s grilling skewer or soup bowl.

 

Comments are superfluous. Join the petition launched by NABU, BirdLife’s German partner, to stop this senseless slaughter.

 

It is the best thing that we can do at the moment.
