Do I have pretty new rings

 

On Tuersday morning before 8 o’clock the eaglet had rings on its legs and the eaglemen had polished the camera lens. The eaglet is already one month and 10 days old.

 

The adult birds probably saw the ringers: the nest has a wide field of view of the surroundings. The eagles will most likely be back at the nest in the next morning at the latest. Nests have been abandoned in practice only when they have been disturbed while the chicks were only a few days old, but not with eaglets old enough to be ringed: the bonds between the adults and their offspring have already been securely established.
