Tell me, what does this feather game mean? Is mom trying to feed the chick with feathers? Or does mom think she’s giving the chick something edible? Or does mom water the feather and thus water the baby? :puzzled:

the chick needs help. It has been struggling with the feed for at least 5 minutes. it is a large chunk and is obviously stuck crosswise in its beak. No help from parents :slap:

yes, they eat and feed feathers, this is protection for their stomach, sharp fish bones could injure their stomach.
