23:12 A pretty close singing Nightjar.
(No Capercaillies seen or heard for days. They are replaced by a singing Common Redstart.)

This morning two Tree pipits were singing. On often pretty close and one far away.
A Mistle Thrush is a regular visitor to the ground in front of the camera but with the low resolution it is not possible to get a good picture. I have posted a bad one earlier.

18:00 The cam is off.

The cam is not stopped. The connection is just extremely bad. After the rain there were during the day already many interruptions.

The cam is still not usable. One or two seconds running and then off again.
Of course the Capercaillies are long gone, but I still liked to listen to the soundscape. Perhaps I am the only one who likes a cam where 'nothing' is happening.

No, Hagnat, you are not the only one. With all this turmoil around, it's restful to listen to the sounds of the forest.

Not only the aesthetic value. To me a good and pleasing sound is essential. That way I can follow a cam while reading a book or something like that.

In the beginning of this afternoon the cam was completely off, but some hours later he worked without interruptions. Chaffinch and Tree pipit were still singing.

Utel, as far as I know the Capercaillies will be back in Spring.

This is a good position to park the camera, with a chance that we see some bird sitting on the branches.
