Someone in the chatbox mentioned an apparent intruder at 17:56. So I had a look, and the male definitely reacted to "something" there, first assuming a defensive posture (mouth wide open, of course!) and then flying towards the intruder, or whatever it was. It's all over in less than 2 minutes (with a 30s gap in the stream after the incident :whistling: ). But I recorded some "empty" time before and after just to show the sudden change in the male's attitude and how he gradually settles down again.

the male nightjar made his deterrent face - and we couldn't see it proper :slap:
but i didn't hear him hissing.

2:27 feeding, the parent remains with the chicks

It's getting harder to find them. First time I had to go through archive to get an idea where to look for :innocent: They have moved to the edge of the camera view, but we actually didn't expect to be able to follow the young this long anyway.
