Like yesterday, sometimes Reed buntings can be heard. I don't know if they are on the beach or in the bushes behind the cam.

Eh no, it's the typical jizz for Calidris canutus, Red Knot, with compact body, short legs and beak.
Got some more pics:

I can't find any jizz but I see a lot of white in the face.

It is a difficult cam. To see birds close to the cam we need high water and therefore we need much wind. But for a good sound we do not want wind.
It would be a great improvement when the microphone did get some wind protection. It would be an improvement to most of the cams, but especially to the ones at very exposed locations like this one.

YES! I couldn't agree more
I wrote about that a few times but my remarks don't get beyond these forums. And I think image is a priority for the camera installers/technicians. Also the volume differs a lot from cam to cam, some are very loud (Latvian LSE), others not loud enough like this cam.
I realise circumstances are difficult in these remote spots but there must be a way to shield the microphone from the wind somehow without affecting the sound too much.

I get a bit tired of the comments of this may be better, that could be different.
Why not just take it as it is / is coming?
Tomorrow the weather will be different.

Fleur, we can only take it as it comes, but there is nothing wrong to explain why it is not always a pleasure to try to follow this cam.
I avoid some otherwise interesting cams because of the bad quality.
Especially when you have other things to do then staring at the screen all day, the sound can be important as an alert. And when the birds are far away the sound is important to identify them. With much wind I can't follow this cam.
Sound and video recordists always protect the microphone from the wind, but I don't know if it is possible with the mics on the webcams used. If it is possible, it is worth considering doing it, because it would be a big improvement.

I avoid the Latvian LSE for that reason. The volume on this wadercam is loud enough for close birds. Problem is that most of the time the birds are far away, meaning that good volume for far birds is too loud for close ones. And you would probably hear thundering wind distortion most of the time.
