Where does the pairing occur: in the nest or outside it?

8.17 Tiiu lies in the nest, Tõnn near, but he is not visible, he sometimes gives a voice.
8.21 Tiiu flies away from the nest.
8.22 Tiiu returns and builds the nest again.
The camera sometimes freezes.

Tatyana, I fear most (if not even all) of it will happen out of cam view and not on the nest.

Tatyana, your pics are great and visible for everyone here

Only one thing could be made "better" ---> I see that your pictures are in .png-formate and these are rather "big" picture formates (kilobytes). Maybe the program you take pictures with and/or your picture host (uploader) has the option to create pictures in .jpg-formate? These would be smaller (in kilobytes) and load quicker to the forum and the viewers.

In case your picture program and/or your picture hoster (uploader) has not this option, it may stay like it is.

Now the snapshot in jpg it takes 255 kb. That's better? I upload them for a direct link, it does not work differently.

10.44-10.45 A long whistle is heard, as if it is a whistling person, but it is a bird. Which one?

:hi:
Tatyana, i didn't heard it. may be you heard Tiiu's alarming call?
here recordings for comparsion https://www.xeno-canto.org/species/Clanga-clanga

it was sort of poignant when i heard it the first time. but it is probably fault chosen word for a dangerous situation for a bird.

Biker, Thanks for the link. Indeed, these were the disturbing cries of Tiiu (or Tõnn?). Then I did not watch the broadcast for a long time, but I hope that nothing bad happened. No one has arrived so far.

Apart from a lot of little song birdies I heard also Buzzard and Corvids calling today in the early afternoon.

someone wrote here it is mostly the warning call of the female GsE: pay attention WtE!
(also if she only saw a WtE).
last season we heard it several times and the little GsE ( :puzzled: i forgot the name  ) grew up safely.

Good morning everybody! Biker, :hi: his name was Tõnnipoeg, and someone also aptly called him “the silent star”. He was very handsome!
