For this year, 2020, we have a new nest and two new Golden Eagles to enjoy.

The nest is in Soomaa, as is last year's nest. It has been in use since 2011 and it is known that three young golden eagles have "caught the wind"

The male bird is named Kalju.
Female bird is Helju.

It is common for the golden eagle to lay two eggs, but only one chick will fledge. Incubation time is around 41 days.

Female Helju has what maybe the remains of a ring on her left leg but we are not able to get a good view of it - feathers on leg!
