I am so glad the eagles have returned to the nest. Hopefully there will be an egg soon. The picture of both of them looking down into the nest at the same time is fabulous!

One thing that we can be sure of, is that they don’t have an egg in a different nest. 99% sure. I doubt that both of the Golden’s would leave an egg alone when snowflakes are falling. Right?

Cold and snow is not bad for the egg in the moment

Liz01, maybe not bad, is true, but would they leave an egg to work on a different nest? :puzzled:
I doubt it.
I think that today’s visit gives us hope!

Female should be incubating and caring for the young most of the time, but we'll see if they decide to nest here.

Triin, hopefully here. I wish that they had stayed at the nest all night, that would be a positive sign.

For our US viewers who don't know about it, I will mention again our camera on a golden eagle nest in Sisters, Oregon. www.goldeneaglecam.com We think the eggs should be within a week of hatching. We can hope that there will be interesting golden eagle nests to watch well into summer. Our eaglets usually fledge in the middle of June.

I was incredibly sad yesterday that the nest was apparently deserted.
It started so well.

Right now I am totally happy about the good news! :loveshower:

Thank you for your persistence. I haven't been able to watch many cameras since yesterday. I don't have the time right now.
