This Golden Eagle forum will not have only one Moderator - as a team, we shall all do what is needed. There will not be separate Obsevation/Discussion topics.

Here is my first bird that I managed to capture near the Golden Eagle nest - a female Great Spotted Woodpecker. :D
She broke a piece of bark from the trunk and flew away with it. I wonder what this bark will serve her? Perhaps as a material for lining the bottom of the hollow? :puzzled:

Yes that's strange. Why did he take the bark of the tree with him? He could look for larvae on the spot. :puzzled:

Besides Golden eagle I so far have noted Jay, Great spotted woodpecker, Great tit, Raven and perhaps a Crested tit. Hardly enough for a special topic. I a habitat like this I also don't expect a lot of birds.
