Here is my first bird that I managed to capture near the Golden Eagle nest - a female Great Spotted Woodpecker.
She broke a piece of bark from the trunk and flew away with it. I wonder what this bark will serve her? Perhaps as a material for lining the bottom of the hollow?

Yes that's strange. Why did he take the bark of the tree with him? He could look for larvae on the spot.

Jay suddenly jumps up

Besides Golden eagle I so far have noted Jay, Great spotted woodpecker, Great tit, Raven and perhaps a Crested tit. Hardly enough for a special topic. I a habitat like this I also don't expect a lot of birds.
