The announcement on FB
We already know the results of the corpse section of our sick bison. It confirmed the diagnosis of a veterinarian. The animal was very old - about 25 years of age, which is an extremely rare achievement for a wisent living on freedom.

Our cow was in a very bad health. Apart from the fact that she was no longer able to move on her own, she was diagnosed with e. g. spilled, purulent peritoneal inflammation, very enlarged gallbladder (dehydration), purulent pneumonia and spilled kidney inflammation.

Unfortunately, she could no longer be helped. We are glad that she had such a long, beautiful life and that she could enjoy freedom until the very last moments of her life.

Every single one of these serious illnesses is difficult to survive at this age, but several at the same time are definite too much.
Often it is due to age that one disease leads to the next and so on.
thanks for the info Mamicja
