Afrikanischer Wilddog, a most endangered species, a species hardly to see. But here are 4 adults and 6 youngsters to see. The adults brought some prey and the youngsters are ‘fighting’ for it

Huge Buffalo herd (more than 300 animals)
They want to cross the airfield, by that of course they can be in the eyes of predators, but, as Hayden says, Buffalos are not that easy to handle…
Duiker
What a great afternoon with so many sightings! Good night Africa!

7 november 2014 PM drive with Pieter and Hayden
Pieter saw never before such a tiny little elephant. It was between 24 and 48 hours old as he said.

A tragedy is taking place at a waterhole. Two Wild dogs chased a pregnant Nyala cow into the water, one dog on one side of the water, the other one the other side and they won’t let her come out. She has no chance and that is one thing I don’t have to see, the way she has do die! Sorry, I know that is nature, but ….

PM drive 8 november 2014
Pieter and Hayden started together in one vehicle, because the Jigga had some fuel pump issues. It should become a very dramatic drive. They were very enthousiast to find wilddogs again but as they drove at Buffelshoek Dam things were turning dramatic. A pregnant impala was swimming around because two wilddogs were waiting for her. The dogs don't like to go into the water so as she was too tired to keep on swimming she was more or less safe to stand in the water to have some rest. The dogs are very intelligent, so the leading female went back to get some other dogs to help. One of them was not too scared of the water and so they got her finally. I have pictures, but as they could be too graphic for some people I will only post some of the period before they caught her. Both Pieter and Hayden were very emotional and I must say they did a great job. It was a hard thing to watch but what a drive! The pictures are without any further comment.

With Hayden
As a start on this very hot day (about 40C) in S-Africa,- two solitary buffalos on the way
Waterbucks
Nyala
Placewhere the Antilppe was pulled from the Wilddogs yesterday,- hardly any rests, most likely the Hyenas have cleared everything

Afternoon Safari 10.11.2014
Baby Impala
Leopard Turtle
Buffalo
Impala
Now ist the time, that Impalas get their offspring and so the Wilddogs are lucky,- this morning they must have caught another Impala on the drive. But of course, also their 6 youngsters need food,- nature pure!
Ans now the safari drive is over, because a thunder storm came up and so to drive around with all the technique is not advisable
