But ..... why this gentleman just had to do that close to the camera?

I also listened late last night and also heard some rustling and sniffing but not recorded with the recorder.
I don't remember the time.

Raven flying (I guess) and calling in the distance. Getting closer. Closer. Clooooser :mrgreen: ..... Flying over the cam, so low that you can hear it's wingbeats.

I may make a video of it, since I owe LK videos, at least I feel so...

I looked around in xeno-canto, female Bubo bubo have some similar sounds but best match is a female Ural Owl Strix uralensis https://www.xeno-canto.org/species/Strix-uralensis

Any owl experts around here?

(guess you can put the recording into xeno-canto with a questionmark and wait for reactions, it is a very good recording compared to others..)

Seems like the pygmy owl autumn song is not so well known, it was a mystery in a radio show at home- so I directed them here to listen :mrgreen:
