To support what I mean ... 10 minutes of feeding

The older chicks are mostly the beneficiaries. But Mini is good in its development. He cannot be fed ... he is actively reaching for the food.
I think it's important for development that chicks develop strong characters. That they are fearless and assert themselves against competition and recognize their moment in 'dry spells'.

If they don't realize it, they'll never stand a chance outside.

07:55 H21 brings smaller prey into the nest. Not prepared ... booty of chance?

The chicks again show only moderate interest.

Next pit stop
08:44 H44 comes into the nest with prey.
The alarm system goes on.
Image

H21 grumbles at him.
H44 pulls in the loot again to humbly show that he brought breakfast ... then leaves the nest like a thief and the alarm continues to ring.
Image

Feeding okay.
In the heat of the moment, Mini gets a blow on the head and becomes reluctant. A few moments later, however, he will steal bites from the beak of his older sibling. I'm afraid it was a foot.
Cheer up, little one!

10:19 ... from the subject of deliveries
H21 brings a branch.
Image

Why I mention it - I thought it was H44 for a moment.
Image

She picks up the bird and waves it between the chicks. Nobody moves = no feeding. 8-)

10:57 Feeding
Again, the bigger comfortable bites for the older ones.
11:10 Mini consistently draws a larger piece of food and eats. In between he did it again and again.

My little wage - Mini is the little boy of the chicks. :innocent:

And further ...
11:16 H21 brings another bird into the nest.
Image

I think... Loot of opportunity again? She doesn't seem to leave the territory yet. Bring what she can find.

15: 24/26 It's raining

Rain break. H21 pulls in the feed animal and begins to feed.
Seen in a different light, it could also be a rodent, not a bird.

That's how it is ... Summer rains often come unexpectedly. Even if it looks uncomfortable - good for everyone! Then new life arises (... and food). :innocent:

Her plumage doesn't look like she has moved much lately. Tomorrow will be better.
They can take it well. :innocent:

It is one thing to be a little hungry and another to not end well, so I said at the time that it would be better if they had one or two chickens to feed.

Yesterday I could not complete the feeding of the day because there was only four hours of video and it had finished at 1:25 p.m.

They ate very little except one of the chickens and the third prey was a mini tapa that did not give to feed anyone.

At the last minute there was a good portion for everyone and there was plenty of it.
Today I could not see anything.

By the way H21 did make a few piaditas when he got to the nest.
She looks nervous and impatient.

.

Good night and see you tomorrow.

June 13th

:hi: :innocent:

Previous deliveries (recorded by me):
(Hope not to have missed anything despite ongoing observation)

10:04:27
Medium-sized prey (H21 left the nest before 09:44:27 to the yellow mast. Absence about 20 minutes = probably delivered by H44.)
Image

13:39: Period.
Slightly bigger prey ... what's left of it. (H21 left the nest at 13:11:58 listening to the yellow mast. Absence about 27 minutes = probably also delivered by H44. I think she ate some of it there too.)

15:11:19 Larger prey.
(H21 left the nest into the terrain at 15:00 and came back from there. Absence about 11 minutes. Probably the handover of the loot by H44.)
Image

No feeding. The chicks don't beg either.

17:04:23 H21 leaves the nest into the area.
07:05:20 H44 takes over watch on the beach of the nest.
Image

H21 can be seen on the yellow mast while she continues calling.
17:06:53 Loud change. :D
H21 brings a piece of loot that H44 has apparently left to her.
Image

She starts feeding it to the chicks. The older food remains.

Well, Mini, the youngest chick worries me. Does it seem to be without appetite? I noticed it yesterday ... today it seems a bit more pronounced. It may just not yet have as much energy needs as the older chicks.

19:35 H21 now draws in the food and begins to feed.
Mini eats very well this time. One of the older chicks prefers to skip this feeding. No problem ... his harvest bag is still full. Instead, he cleans himself up and watches his hungry siblings very closely. It bows its head and follows everything that H21 and his siblings do. It learns ... (?) :innocent:

Unfortunately again blurred storm images. :)

19:57:57 H21 landed shortly before in the upper branches and we can catch her breaking a branch of her own nest tree. 8-)
Boka often did it too ... but in the lower pixel area.

21:21 Medium sized food (It looks strange to me. Missing feathers or fur? Maybe someone has an idea.)
But there is more food.
(H21 left the nest at 21:18, called. 3 minutes from the nest = safely prepared by H44 handed over.)
Image

The chicks are quickly at the table, but are initially relegated under the duvet.
No feeding so far.
21:50

By the way H21 did make a few piaditas when he got to the nest.
Incidentally, for the last delivery (this one in the post) too.

June 14th

:hi: :innocent:

After the nest has been moving for a long time, Mini begins to occupy himself with the food from the previous day.
The chick pulls the meat and serves itself. H21 watches, lets Mini learn.

04:22 H21 now gets up - feeding for everyone. 04:41 end

05:52 H21 comes calling through the side entrance. She brings a fair amount of food.
Image

(Better picture 6:30)

(Out down into the area 05:45 = absence about 7 minutes. Most likely handed over by H44.)
No feeding.
