Nice to see the fraternal affections.

The kissing will still be defined.
As 'tough' as Goshawk sometimes seem in their hunt ... they are very connected and not selfish with one another. :innocent:

Who's who ... good question.

Today I'm very busy and unfortunately don't have time to answer everything in detail. Our minis are good together when it comes to plumage. I try to apparently measure the legs (long females) and chest (strong females) but I don't succeed today. I do not have the time. It is enough for the springs to squeak well.
Everything okay here! :innocent:
Only full, healthy chicks can be this vital.

Sleep well!

The little one advances a lot in the plumage of the back, but differences are still seen.

The part behind the head is whiter than that of the others and another detail that I see is the first part of the back, which is almost like the chest. In H21 it is quite developed compared to H44. The two older ones also have it wider than the little one. There are also details on the bandwidth of the queue but they are not final yet.
I continue to bet on two females and a male, although this one will surely mature before the sisters.

These chickens have given a final sprint. Between 33-35 and 40-42 days they finish feathering everything and releasing the down.

Soon, all the same and if there can be a complete family photo.

Despite the goshawks' reputation for being aggressive, they have proven to get along quite well with parents who have been admirable and have brought out their feelings and emotions.

But they are still goshawks and when we hunt we do not see them, they do not forgive and they are designed with fabulous qualities and weapons.

Greetings

Emiliano :hi:

Yes, they are a joyful and very nicely developed bundle. :loveshower:

June 28th
That day the first branch began. One month after first hatching... :innocent:

I think Mini was the youngest, so we can assume exactly 30 days from hatching to branching.

June 29th

The independent nutrition works well. Nevertheless, hawklets like to take bites ...

Image

H21 is very close to the nest.
I try to remember but I think Boka has been away from the nest more often.

2nd July

Well, since yesterday it is exhausting to follow them and sometimes I get frightened. Are they sitting somewhere or have they fallen ....
The nest has become too small and the Mini H's are very impulsive in their urge to flutter and jump.
This nest is a lot of fun! :2thumbsup:

H21 digs mouse holes.

Emiliano, at least one hawk might get its mother's 'V' for sure. I think there are even two. But I'm not sure about that.
Hint 'V'?
Image

Straighter line?
Image

Wait a few more days. The tail feathers grow quickly, then it is better to say.
A difference in the pattern can already be guessed, right?

11:40 H21 comes down from the upper floor and brings a branch.
She starts rummaging in the hole again and gets support from Junior.
The other two teenagers go undetected.

Well, that happened quickly now that one of our Mini H's spends the night outside of the protective nest ... but maybe it will return. 22:50 says the clock ...

... 19:15 A teen sits high up in the parents tree (then changes to the other branch)

19:15 H44 () brings food to the nest - with 'Gjak'. :innocent: It's so good to see him!
Image

And now there are two hungry teenagers again who rush to eat. Oh, greed can now be easily observed! And it is properly covered ... the food is claimed and defended. Little devils. :2thumbsup: ...which, by the way, sound a bit like hens laying eggs.

(H44 is already about to retreat.)
Image

Image

H44 manages to retreat and leaves the nest

19:15:21 The third teen can probably be seen here. Left below the nest. However, he does not get into the nest.
I suspect it is because the calls from H21 somehow don't sound as close as you can see this Goshawk.

The second teen lets go and jumps back onto the branch behind the tree trunk.
The other now enjoys his prey to himself.
19:27 he stands on the meal, actually doesn't eat.
Image

19:33 H21 returns to the nest, claims the food and now the second teen comes back and enjoys a feeding.
Image

Number three still stays away from the nest. He's already big. 8-) :whistling:
And for sure he will get VIP feedings. And bit by bit, his parents will challenge him and tempt him to fly further away from the nest with food.

22:55 A little one is watching in the tree.
Image

Our nest refugee will probably be sitting there somewhere and H21. She comes into the nest in an arc from this direction ... ready for a night with more space in the nest. :innocent:
Image

Hopefully our third Mini H will have a proud and safe night.

Ps: I think the stream goes to sleep too. It jerks.

July 3rd

Actually, I don't have a bad feeling, but I took my headphones out of the closet anyway.

As befits children, the day starts early. :chick:
03:52 One mini jumps onto the side branch, the other one with its mother keeps its eyes closed a little.

Image

03:58 Now H21 jumps onto the side branch and flies deep down into the area.

A faint cracking sound can be heard near the nest.
Also 03:59:10

A begging can be heard. One Mini is cleaning itself, the other shows no call movements ... so our third Mini H?

04:02:06 Both in the tree are starting to look in the same direction.

The next few minutes let us hear from the entire family. :loveshower:

H21 calling in the area, movements in the tree ... H44's dear 'Gjak' next to his children (04:08:38, 40 and 09:00:04, 06) and all the Mini H's (the refugee 04:08 : 21-23, 04: 10: 30/31 ... I think)
