16:45 H21 is sitting on the side branch when H44 brings prey into the nest.
He doesn't get any further than the beach of the nest.

It is really a crime thriller.
Either they hide them or they fidget - my screenshoter can't keep up.
For me to read no ring number.

20:02 Not E, not F ... I think it'll stay mini - H's!
Blurred but the H can be guessed. I just can't explain one number under 40. But it looks like a 30s number.
Why is there no feedback? We're burning with curiosity! Anyway, I ...
By the way, I tripped over the legs here. There are moments when Mini is easy to recognize. But here??? An older chick does not have pronounced, long, strong legs. Not mini ... an older chick. (?) So a male?
Or it's Mini ... but also a significant difference to detection.

For me it ends today. The alarm clock goes off at work.
For our H's the day will go on and they will be awake before me. Sometimes I wonder when they sleep at all.
Last feeding from 20:06 - 09
(H44 brought the food to the nest. )
Sleep well!

Chicken feed of the day
There have been four feeding periods distributed with durations between 1´43" and 12´39 "
The separation between feeding periods has been from 2h34´51 "to 7h31´44"
Of the four prey carried, one was hidden between the nest from before and another was very small. The others were medium in size.
Chickens, over three weeks old, take food on their own and swallow large pieces in addition to those that the mother gives them little by little.
They no longer need to eat as often. There is no shortage of prey but there is no excess either and the chickens dispute it according to their degree of hunger.
The little one seems braver and more active in front of the older sisters.
They spend a lot of time alone, exercising their wings and sleeping.
Some chicken has already tried ki-ki-ki.
After more than three weeks the size of the two largest and the state of their plumage is quite similar, which leads us to think that they are two females. The little one does seem male but we will have to wait a little longer.
In another three weeks they will be well-feathered goshawks about to fly on their own.
1st 6:40:07 - 6:52:46 ( 12´39")
2nd 14:11:51 - 14:13:44 ( 1´43" )
3rd 16:46:42 - 16:51:03 ( 4´21" )
4th 20:07:30 - 20:09:51 ( 2´21" )

I would love to stay that age for a while. They are so 'cute' and at the same time have important adult instincts. Somehow it doesn't fit.

My day was too short ...today rare selection.
05:05. I can't go back sooner. And do not rewind for details or beautiful photos ... otherwise my backlog will be even bigger.
A chick stands on food with his feet.
I can't tell if it's from the day before or if it's new food.
05:06 Second chick (Mini?) pulls it away, to itself ... still gnaws at it in '08.
05:10 The second older chick takes over the food.

05:21 H21 comes into the nest.
The chicks begin to claim the available food for themselves. There is no pronounced cloaking (although the first signs of it can be seen) but the message is clear - get away from my food.
H21 prevails and starts dividing the feed.
It has become harder for them to land well. The chicks hiss and tug immediately at their feet in greed for food. H21 copes with this new situation very, very patiently and great.

And not only our Mini H's go through a maturation process. Her mother too ... she, who is raising three chicks with great confidence, is just taking off her youthful dress during this demanding time.
Nice to see that new gray on her ... the tail feathers.

08:45:16 - 45 H21 can be heard in the area.
The Minis listen with interest.
08:45:52 One of the parents lands on the lower floor in the pixel area of the tree. Later it becomes clear that it is H44. 08:45:55 - 46:01 ... what a warm welcome! The older chick, who is sitting at the small entrance, is calling. Like a big one, only squeaky.
H21 can still be heard in the area at this time but then it goes quickly ... H44 flutters high into the nest and brings a larger bird. At almost the same time, H21 follows and H44 immediately retreats to the side branch. He 'gjakt' conciliatory and reassuring while H21 calls out very loudly.
The chicks immediately rush to their tender father.
08:46:44 H44 leaves the branch.
The change and subsequent feeding that has beautiful moments.

Yesterday that I know of there was no food left in the nest. There was not much quantity and they took advantage of everything.
They enter dangerous days, if in the fights for the meals they push and fall, it is difficult for them to get ahead.

09:11 Even after feeding, there is still food in the nest.
Mini is sitting alone again while the two older chicks sit together. Mini often rocks his moments apart.

In addition to a lot of rest, fluttering and games, there are also fresh branches in the nest.
12:15, 14:25, 15:21
....H21 digs deep in the nest bowl.
She will stay with her chicks longer now. Not on the side branch.

It's H's ... are they ????
Even if it is self-explanatory (H + H = not Y ) I am finally happy to see clearly.

It is troublesome ...you have to have really sporty eyes ... H94?
One of the older Minis.
Without cutting - easy to read with zooming.
http://sjjs.de/hansbilder/images/963620 ... 234348.jpg
The other older chick H93?
Guess with logic ...
Mini (the youngest) H95?
