19:07 H21 leaves the nest.
At first it looked as if she wanted to take the food with her. She pulled it towards her, tried to grab it ... stood on it. In the end she flew out without it.
19:10 H21 returns and 'covers' her chicks.

Today we may have had the start of a next phase. H21 begins to move away from the nest for a longer period of time, to hunt with her and it will soon be the case that she sometimes sits near the nest for a very long time (hours) and it appears that the chicks are alone.
Everything normal but our H's are real sprinters in all developments and phases.
10:22 H21 leaves the nest
10:24 H44 takes over At first he only stands on the edge of the nest, but then hesitantly walks around his chicks. It's nice to see him beaking what I think is the oldest chick. I am still wondering whether they are kissing (a sign of attachment) or simulating feeding.
As long as it is today, H44 may not be able to be with his chicks.
10:46 Only now does H21 return. She brings fresh food.
Sleep well!

These little ones go very well and fast, they will surely already regulate their body temperature without the full help of the mother, that is why H21 will go out for a longer time. Also the temperature must be good for Riga, everything helps.
There is almost no darkness all night except on cloudy days and it dawns very early.

Hello together
Actually, no contribution was planned for today.
Until I had to go to work, it was a relaxed picture in our H's life. I was delighted to see that the minis are switching from down to feathers. The first delicate thrusts can be seen ....
And even if small prey ends up in the nest from time to time, there is still enough large food in store as an ace up the sleeve of H44. Hopefully this good supply will continue. I really think H44 is an excellent hunter. I have no concerns.
Only that in his zeal he does not take care of himself enough ....

Well, at the end of my work less time ago, I actually only wanted to rewind briefly into the rest of the day to see again. I got into trouble right away.
22:21 H21 doesn't seem very relaxed and H44 can be heard angry in the area.
H21 stands up carefully. She is in a hurry but still careful with her minis, which are firmly attached to her.
H21 flies down into the area. She seems to have a need to help H44.
Two chicks remain visibly calm, the third listens with interest and instinctively lays its head, but continues to listen.
Both H's can be heard later. Angry, excited.
In a moment I wonder whether I am hearing a third, unknown voice of a Goshawk or whether I am wrong.
22:24 It's still not over.
22:25:19 A goshawk now seems to be calling from a distance. Or better - he is drifting away. Also heard in '48.
22:26:30 rustling in the nest tree ...
22:26:46 H21 comes back to the nest. Obviously nervous.
22:28:49 H21 looks up into the tree. and even in '30 and even '39 it works like a sensitive radar.

I let the camera run a little longer and hope that it was a harmless expulsion of a Goshawk who got lost in the territory. 22:50:30 H44 gave warning calls again. Everything has been okay since then.

Everything is still in order. Two weeks since the first hours were born. A first delicate period has already passed but there are still another two weeks until they can eat alone and we hope they have enough food so that there is not much "fuss" between them .

Hello Emiliano
I wonder if our H's are sleeping too?
02:59 Already first visits to the toilet.
(Unfortunately, the morning screenshots are mostly not good.)

But the chicks' tail thrusts are also great. Your entire plumage will begin to develop quickly.

04:43 - 58 feeding
It takes a while for the chicks to get into the starting blocks.
But they don't take bites greedily. Apparently they are not very hungry yet. Concentration quickly wanes.

04:58/05: 00 H21 is severely choking on part of the food.
At 58:10 she picked up something from the bottom of the nest and ate it. Bone part?
05:00 She jumps onto the side branch, but returns to the nest after a minute.

06:42 - 47 H21 has left the nest. She brings a fresh branch.
07:14 H21 is standing at the edge of the nest, cleaning itself and constantly looking into the area, waiting.
07:21 Now she leaves the nest, calls only once briefly

07:31 H21 returned with a fresh branch.
The chicks are completely calm.
07:47 After she was standing at the edge of the nest and looking, H21 quietly leaves the nest.
Today she sees a lot of the terrain. I have to say I haven't heard H44 today either. But hopefully just 'missed'.

08:32 H21 comes back with empty claws. Their plumage looks wet.
09:23 H44 finally shows up. He has come to present a branch.
Covered the chicks with it and immediately disappeared again.
