Good morning :hi:
Hellem :2thumbsup: :)

Yes, evening visit from 21:10 to 21:15 :)

Bubo climbs directly into his pit starts his short, obligatory nest work.

Image

Image

Shortly afterwards he just stands in his deep hole and calls out.

Image

21:13 And he goeth out of his pit, and calleth out into the wood before the nest.

21:15:23 He flieth back in haste. It seemed as though he had become sensitive.

His calls last until 23:05. :faint:

Further calls during the night 23:17 - 00:10, 01:05 -01:07 (very far away), 01:13 -01:16 and 04:43 - 04:57 individual calls from a great distance.

Unfortunately no more visits.

The forest was very sleepy tonight. Not a single sound could be heard. Only at 05:24 the usual morning bird started its song (You can set the clock after it. )

April 15th

Evening visit with prey from 21:06 to 21:07

Bubo brings a gift.

He proudly puts it down in front of the corner and looks around expectantly.
Image

Image

I feel so sorry for him ...

Image

21:07 he also flies away again.

He will come back.

I wonder what difference it makes to Bubo whether he puts his prey in front of the corner or sticks it up to the inside ... . *pensive *

April 16th

Night visit from 00:55 to 01:39

00:55 Bubo lands behind the nest edge. Maybe there is a branch of a tree there or he can hold on to it well. He has sat there several times before.

Step by step, hop by hop, Bubo approaches his prey with a critical look. :whistling:

Then follows a few minutes of unrest.
A bit like my dog when he gets a fleshy bone and he runs around restlessly with it because he doesn't know where to hide it.

Bubo picks up his prey, puts it down again...look. Picks it up again and carries it first to the hollow, puts it down again ... picks it up again and then walks with it towards the nest edge. He puts it down in front of it, stands and calls.

01:00 The decision has been made.
After five minutes Bubo decided not to leave this rodent to posterity and prefers to eat it himself.

Meal bubo! :D

*swallow once
Image

*swallow twice
Image

That was tasty. 8-)

01:01 then somewhat indecisive looks over the nest until he jumps 01:02 onto the nest rim.

Bubo the connoisseur will now take his time for over half an hour to digest and clean up extensively. :)

Done. :D

Image

01:38 then the first call again.
01:39:00 It looks like Bubo has discovered something and is chasing after it.

I just got home from work, turned on the camera and it caught my eye. :loveshower:

Image

Without my scrawl... .

Image

I haven't looked to see if Bubo had come yet... ...make a quick lunch, the camera's rolling.
A sign... I would like to believe it! :loveshower:

Later then maybe (hopefully) more.

I went through the day with extra headphones-- no sound from Bubo.
Just a biting wind.

But he's cute. Although very macabre directly at Bubo's nest.

Image

The morning bird? Sounded like that. :)
I was always unsure whether blackbird or throttle.

So far Bubo has not been at the nest.
(But he was heard between 21:25 and 21:40)

April 18th

We had a very counted visit from Bubo last night. :whistling:

Exactly 60 seconds... one minute...

03:50:26 to 03:51:26

Bubo was calm... No screaming, nothing. :innocent:
He just sat quietly on the edge of the nest. Not even the nest interested him.

Bubo looked in these two directions without interruption during this time.

Bubo's getting moody. :rotf:

Hellem, thanks for the time stamp. :2thumbsup:
Well, today I took it easy and didn't look until around noon. Unfortunately an hour late. I could not spool enough.

April 22

:hi:

22:26 I opened the cam and at the same moment Bubo landed on the nest rim :D
22:30 He jumped on the nest and took the hidden prey
22:31 He flew away with his prey

I scrolled back and found his coming 8-)
21:41 Bubo brought the small bird and hid it
21:45 After calling on the nest he flew away

Hellem :2thumbsup:

I saw the hiding earlier. It was a coincidence that I still opened the camera after work and that's where Bubo came with the loot. I was almost scared ... he was not there for 2 days. :faint:
Unfortunately, I have somewhat unsightly turbulence at the moment. I can look but I lack time and free moments to document. My photo folder and notebook is getting thicker every day (including Teo and Vita, Boka and Lui ...).

I'm sorry and I'm really happy to see that Bubo is still being watched. Although the chances are zero for a good season.

Thank you very much for your attention!
From my heart ... :)

Hellem, I still have the pictures from last night. :slap: :rotf: I'll make up for it in the morning. :)

A gift that the camera still runs ... THANKS to all involved ! :loveshower:

Can we contribute to the support ?

For me all fundraisers are so confusing.
I would like to help but unfortunately I cannot differentiate.
