weird: kids awakens, obviously want to eat, the female has reacted, but then she stopped and covers her chicks, who protest.

Good morning
Biker
Thanks for your videos.
I am happy if you have fun at the nest and I get thereby also much more with, what is going on in the nest.
Last year the big one was always beating when there was food. I hope the food will always be sufficient.
It rains and the mother lies firmly on the chicks.

Yesterday, I think it was the feeding at 19:00 - pinching, and pecking into the face of the smaller.

It did not go again without pecking, until the little one has left his head down.
Feeding ended and the little one got nothing.
I bet the kid has to fight for every bite.

video: 13:45 finally the rain stopped shortly after noon. the female pulled remains of a bird out of the nest and fed both.
The sun is peeping out.
The smaller one got also a bit, even at first.
here it was pushed down a bit by its sibling, but not very aggressive, without using the beak.

The male is a good provider.
When I look, there's food in the nest.

Lately the camera often shows Oystercatcher nest.
There are thousands of Terns also.

Thanks solo, I answered you over there.
It rained a long time in Spain today.
It was fed only briefly and the chicks were immediately covered again.

During this morning feeding, I saw how the female offered pieces to both chicks. again and again, very patient.
They do not seem very hungry. Here got the younger chick something.

Oystercatcher nest
These birds are beautiful, but the nest is bit rocky. There is a lot of flowers around ( I suppose it is oxeye daisy).
Both birds incubate eggs. I do not think I will see chicks, they leave the nest almost immediately after hatch.
