Hello together

No. 3 is hatched, wow!

About 13:20 nest time

Here Sara pulled away her left foot from the head of the new born storklet. :-(
In the next moment she stands on the head of the older chick in front. I don't post these pictures.

Sara is preening the storklets intensive.

Be welcome, third little storklet! Get strong and stay healthy! :2thumbsup:

In my opinion, it is better if there are no other chicks. It is already lack of food !
There may be hatch intervals up to 6 days. That would end not good. That's no pessimism! From the first day I see that something is wrong with the food supply. They need food approx every two hours.
Should it take a long time, the youngest will have no chance. The small fish are only available for a short time.
.....
The third chick is now hatched 2 days after the second one. The fourth will probably hatch in the next hours. I think, the first two and the second two then have hatched not so widely apart, don't they?
Do you see any chance for the later born chick(s) to survive? (If the parents don't practice an infanticide)
It was also not my wish that there are four storklets, but they live and are there - respectively will be there.

I so hope, everything will go well.

I hope it will be food enough for all  Then it would be a good chance for all four. The nest is big enough in this year

BTW: the stream is not stable? I often have a black screen.

14:35 Isn't it cute? The third one is almost dry. Its head is still too heavy to lift it up. And between all older and new siblings the new born. :D It is moving quite a lot.
Thank God this time Sara has not stepped on one of her chicks, - as far I've seen. But Sara is really a preening-junkie. The storklets have to endure a lot of it. Hopefully Sara let them now sleep for a while.

She also stepped on the chick's wing too. Like an elephant, she doesn't see where she steps.
