This is good news, isn't it? It shows she has confidence and is physically sound. I hope she will try again to join her parents and brother successfully.

PLEASE, someone post some happy news!!! :slap:

She preens also her feathers now. That is a sign, that she is no more under stress.

Ziluka is on the branch and that means she soon flies too.

I agree, too.
Tomorrow she will train from the early morning very hard, and perhaps she will leave already tomorrow.
And Ziluks will train on the bottom because he doesn't know to fly well yet.

But I fear that both won't come back again

Baska, I understand that sentiment. "Parents" of all descriptions are willing to handle a little heartache when they know their "children" are happy and doing well. :D

23:30 It's dark since an hour ago. Cam's volume still open, it helps me work better...

While working, I can hear her moving in the nest, from time to time. Sounds a little restless.

Ziluks flew away, because human came. He can not fly properly.
Whether the parents continue to feed them?
There are many people in the vicinity that make great noise.
The nest was safe. But the ground?

That was yesterday a bad day for the storks

Why don't you pay more attention to that what Asteria and Bea already have said
instead of driving everybody crazy - including yourself ???
Asteria and Bea = two experienced women

Copies:
Asteria at 11:14 pm
The same thing happened in the nest of Tiit&Tiina to Tommy in 2012 and Miiko in 2013: they had fallen down from the nest and returned after a day or so.

Bea at 12:19 pm
Oh please, cool down everybody with immediaty thoughts about blood and wild animals .... there is no reason for doom-mongering!
Parent on the high branch shows no panic behaviour - and we shouldn´t also!

Bea at 1:31 pm
There are lower trees with lower branches around, maybe it works step by step and some wingbeats may help to come forward.
The wish to come back to the nest, where food is delivered and Ziluks is still on, could be incentive to try more intense what is feasible with her wings.

the whole experience does not help when the situation is different.

Ziluka was still in the water, as the helpers arrived.
she would never have come alone in the nest back.

Let me make my own experiences. I'm very good at it to make conclusions.

You write yesterday that Ziluks not coming back. How do you know?
