Thank you for the information, garina do mar! :loveshower: 3 eggs! the 26th March

Last year there were three eggs on the nest on the 31th March. If I can count so now the Black Stork couple has created three eggs five days earlier!

It was so sorrowful that one of the eggs was broken or something went wrong in 2009.. But anyway the two chicks were ok!So beautiful!

Today the flowers in the corner garden of Black storks were open:

 Fingers crossed that this year nothing harms not any of the the three eggs! It is possible that there will appear a fourth egg. We will see in two days and nights..
This spring I am not able to follow the cams so much I would like to, not so often as last year. My older dog needs my attention..some times continuously.. for the moment he is very well, close to 16 years! :shake:

No, let them stop at three. Nothing bad happened last year, the unhatched egg must be just unfertile. Better 3 eggs=2 chicks+one infertile than four eggs=3 chicks alive and one killed by parents.

Hi Asteria!
The year before they had 3 beautiful young black storks. They were not seen through the cam because their nest was in a different place but they all grew up very well:
(here http://milhasnauticas.blogspot.com/2009 ... a-web.html there is a pic of the 3 chicks from 2008)

And this year with all the rain there is plenty of food

I saw them too!! I have seen pictures of nests with four well being chicks. It depends on weather conditions and food, well, all people may know that. This will be very exiting to watch! :faint:

14:10 BS rolling four eggs.
