Larisa Thank you for sharing your photo once again with us, it`s a great shot I cant distinguish Suvi from Sulev apart from the colour of the eyes, in photo eyes look rather dark, but it can also be light playing tricks

hello @all!
My stomach says it - if Sulev is.
Sulev has a stronger appearance around the beak.
He looks more distinctive.
And a big thank you for staying so faithful to the nest and documenting it. I have very exciting weeks and barely time to see or write a lot of camera. But I read you daily! Thank you!!!!

There have been at least 2 tits on the nest - and a bird has been hammering very near microphone (but off cam)
a pigeon flew by at 9.23

I wish that Sulev and Suvi will back soon. In Latvia Raimis&Milda are building nest almost every day

yes, interesting point of view, I had not thought of that.
is certainly always an individual decision where and why intervention is required and where not.

Good evening
I wonder; if our eagles are still there, would not it be time for them to show up on Nest?
Or maybe they are still traveling with Sulvi. Maybe the little one has yet to learn.
I hope Suvi and Sulev finally show up. And they accept the nest ....

I dont know much about juvenile's post fledging behavior etc., but i have read that a parent / or parents stay with the juvenile up to 12 weeks after fledging, but also as long as the youngster is dependent on them. Sulev and Suvi seem to be clearly further away from the nest area and i think too, that they are near to wherever Sulvi is. So, at some point, adult ones will return to their territory and hopefully to this wonderful and spacious nest ))
But thats just wishful thinking. Latvian eagle couple Milda and Raimis have been around the whole time and now even building the nest from scratch, so ofcourse that leaves us a bit worried.

I think it does have water in that area, but it looks too dark to be a light reflection. A spider web maybe? Was it moving? To me it looks like what water would look like if the sun was directly on top of it. But it's dusk?

In this area (Silma Nature reserve) there are lots of small lakes and its partly boggy area - so yes, the setting sun is reflecting from the water :)

have i understood correct: the eagles haven't been seen at home since the camera repair?
they are probably teaching Sulvi to catch fish.
in Saunja area there are no fish ponds (? at least i don't know of them). Sulvi has to learn how to catch wild fish.
