If you can't watch the BBC's iPlayer at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Episode_5/ then do see the sea-eagle blog and Dave Sexton's account at http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/natureuk/201 ... rd-k.shtml

I have heard a rumour, not solid fact, that they are waiting for a new camera to arrive. If I learn more I will post about it.
Another point - given the amount of snow in Estonia, is it possible to get to that feeding ground place?

there had to be more snow there last winter... and they have the snow scooters and the ATVehicles etc.
but a new camera! wow! we can barely wait for it.

is there going to be a Pontu camera operational at the WTE nest as well, like last year? please don't forget to post that address here, too.

Just a small snippet of news - Renno and Aivar have put the old cam in place but there are problems with transmission.
Renno will return to the site as soon as his work commitments and weather allow. When the new camera arrives, they will just change it over.

It's coming closer!!

http://tarsiger.com/paivakirja/kuvat.ph ... sema=sorve

there are some fine images of Finnish WtE named Hilkka. She is now in Estonia, Saaremaa and fed by local strong birdwatcher Mati Martinson.
Near the end the images you could find a link to Hilkkas page.

And of course, database is recommend to visit and by chance to supplement with additional information - sorry, I had not possibility, yet...

Hi, Urmas  That is an interesting and warming news, a Finnish WTE living there in Estonia. The photos of Hilkka and the other WTEs with her in Tarsiger page from Mati Martinson are amazing!
