some little bird came call at Sulev. maybe it was a nuthatch? they make nice loud voices.

9:58 Linda came and brought an enormous bunch of hay.


there was a glimpse of one egg.

Sulev took off and flew to the tall spruce in the back and landed on top of it. little later he called to Linda from there.

then within a minute he left and flew to the left. Linda followed him with her eyes.

Linda arrived with much hay, SULEV marched and stopped at a nearby tree about econds

10:05 Linda began to call. someone is making a rattling/creaking/purring voice near the nest. it's some corvid, a crow or a jay...? probably a jay.

Thank you ame, I thought that white-tailed eagles stood only one baby, as lesser spotted eagles do.

WTE don't have the obligatory cainism like the Lesser Spotted Eagles. If the food and space situation is okay I think we can expect all hatched eaglets will grow up.

@Janne+Ais: It's windy now. But the nest-tree of the Latvian-WTE is shaking much more. There it is really worse.

I think Sulev is nearby. But he has to come soon.

i began to wonder about this bird in the nest... it kind of "looked" like Sulev. then i checked Pontu pictures from this afternoon and found this. the sly creatures have made a change behind our backs at 15:36.

i was out and i had left the recording rolling but it had accidentaly stopped before the change. does any other of us have any pictures or recordings of this change?

Linda hat been softly and louder calling for a while, like Manu wrote, but nothing happened, but then again a while later it started again and right, Sulev arrived - empty beaked and taloned though:
