Mute swans can lay up to 11 eggs, but usually it are less. The question is: Are the young swans taken by the eagles all from the same nest?

they brought until yet at least two different size. i don' t remember the exact difference in size, but so much in one case, that it was pointed out here to the different ages.

Brooding the eggs starts with the last egg, so he chicks in one nest are of the same size.

yes. thanks Konrad. much bigger than most of the others. and recently also. it was already a few days ago.
What Shanta photographed can' t be from the same family as that cygnet which recently was discussed in detail. (whether it was brought with or without a head)

Hi Hellem, soon after arrival Sulev looked down several times and tried to get something from down there. We'll have to wait and see if the prey is safe in the corner, or lost.

Hi Konrad, yes, can very well be. When flown in, it showed like a dark lump, and Sulvi soon became silent. We still need a good look at the storage corner. Edit: If it is a bundle of straw, I think it is a great idea of Sulev, to make the bottom of the storage corner more safe to place food.
