Sulvi seems to behave in a very wise way. It would have been difficult for her to turn around, as Sulev was so close and partly above her, but I think Sulvi also does not take big risks at the moment. She has certainly noticed, how quickly the wind speed rises in a gust and grabs her if she is standing. So, she spends a lot of time lying in a safe place. 8-) When she earlier today was completely in her bedroom, that part of the nest moved hardly at all, even though the living branches were moving very much.

P.S. It is nice, that the wind speed has slowed down already, although the gusts are still strong enough.
You're welcome. She was first cautious when Suvi landed with some food and challenged her to go over, but Suvi reassured her that it was ok. I'm glad it worked :D

@ Konrad, it does look more "meaty" than "fishy", don't you think?

I think it was a small piece with a leg of some waterbird chick, maybe cygnet, 20:27 it was gone

Yes. I thought first it had a duck's leg, but probably not. Very difficult to recognize anything of it.

Yes, very likely. Have to go and look at the leg once more...
edit: The leg may belong to a cygnet, but at least I cannot be sure.

Have some clips from the morning, but sadly without time stamp and the videos uploading needs hours on YT for me.
............
Liz01 wrote: June 19th, 2018, 3:41 pm Shanta :hi: thanks a lot for the videos :2thumbsup:

you can convert to MP4, then he uploading to yt is fast. I use any video converter.
?? i was just wondering in what format are you using for making your videos? :puzzled:
i think the Tube accepts wmp and mkv, doesn't it, without need of conversion? at least i'm able to upload videos in both formats in the Tube. sometimes i have other problems with the Tube.

Potplayer can record mkv and aTubecather in wmp. aTubecatcher i use if i have to record delayed stream. i think that the mkv-format is not in the list of acceptable video format of the Tube but it will accept it, in fact it recommends it elsewhere.

if uploading to the Tube is slow in these formats there is something else slowing down the process.

June 20

Good morning

Sulvi is safe, well rested and full of growth and energy. The parents have been around, but neither has come to the nest after Suvi left before 4 am. Sulvi has been calling them since 5 am, keenly observing them as they have passed by. At about 5.30 she made a series of strong wing exercises during several minutes, and at the same time she followed the parents' movements near the nest. She was really trying to call their attention by all means. It's a bit windy, but it's nothing compared to yesterday. Have a good day everybody!

Good morning Liz, Rebelde and all others! :hi: Thank you for the picture snd info.

Suvi has also before behaved in that strange way: bringing food or stealing it from Sulev, but not feeding. :puzzled:
As she let the cygnet there and left, Sulvi very probably drops it again by accident...
