3:56 Suvi brought new bed clothes to the nest. In other words, she brought some dry plant material and spread it in the nest. The eaglet lies on it now.

Konrad - thanks a lot for your careful analysis of the nest's structure! I didn't know - and maybe there were others as well, who didn't know the things you mentioned in the post

Early morning was wonderful! The eaglet is so active from the very beginning of daylight hours, when it's not too hot in the nest, but it's pleasant and there's a lot going on in the surroundings. Once again I have loads of screenshots from the morning but will have to make a compact post of them in order not to invade the forum with old material

Hi Marika. Yes, that is the point of view. When relaxed they often form a "fist" and then it looks thicker than the other talon.

I remember that in the nest of Anna&Uku , ringing was, when the eaglets were about 5 weeks old...

Timea , I'm not sure about the fish, when Sulev landed it seemed to me that there was a fish in the middle of the bunch of straw

Are they waiting for shadow before ringing the eaglet?

The eaglet is alone for quite long times, compared with the Anna and Uku nest. I'll take it as a good sign the parents trust this eaglet more.
