The little one has eaten only once today. Well, it was a monster fish but still she was very much alone today. Why...?
And I think she does not do enough. The nest is really not ideal for ritual exercise.

I'm always happy when I open the camera and see that the little one is fine. She makes the most of the situation. But I'm always sorry that she can not stretch out comfortably and relax properly. But I hope she will rather fledge. Then she can enjoy life. Hold on, little eagle.

I watched the feeding partly in slow-motion from the Pontu archive and at least two pieces of the fish seemed to fall down. But they were not very big. They fell to the back side of the living branch, which is very difficult even for Sulev. There are small sticks and the lower level is so deep, that he hardly can reach the pieces.

But they ate almost the whole fish, as it was easy to take pieces of it, after Sulev had opened the stomach side and they both could eat from the inside of the fish towards outside. I think they ate also the tail, after Sulev had cut the fish to two parts.

22:55 An eagle landed on the branch of the spruce tree on the right almost out of cam view, the eaglet saw it and called softly, 22:58 this eagle flew away from the branch

That's nice! Mama is home, didn't bring food, but luckily there are other things to nibble while telling mom about the day.
(I didn't see her landing, but the tiny branches the eaglet is nibbling seem to be new "nest materials" which Suvi brought with her)

Hellem - she even did a few wing exercises (23.45). Suvi needs rest, but the eaglet finally got company and wants to socialize



It's impossible to capture quick motion on screenshots in the near dark lighting conditions, but you can tell it's a wing exercise by the way Suvi looks at it
