They began chirping in a circle and it seemed that they did it as if by reflex - when we do it, food will arrive by a parent as usual. :puzzled:
They must be hungry today!

So little food and last time the storklets were fed already four hours ago. It's not like Jan. :puzzled:
I'm worried that they must go to bed hungry.

Feeding, two big fishes.
One for Nr.3 and one for Nr.2. Or were it three fishes for everyone? No, I guess Nr.1 had no fish, so two.

July 28
Hello everyone :hi:

OVERVIEW 27.07.2021 https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 56#p819256

- on July 12 - the youngest/fourth chick (Benjamin) perished 25 day old (unknown reason)
- on July 16 the chicks got ring (7181,7182,7183) and the body was removed for examination

trio hatched on June 14 + 14 and 15 - they are today 44 and 43 day old

OVERVIEW 28.07.2021

it is not uncommon for a female and a male to go to different places for food and bring other types of food
therefore, some people think that Janika brings smaller food
even after repeated slow-motion viewing, I can't say 100% in each case who was on the nest

Jan in at 07:46:12 with wet straw
1/ 07.46 FEEDING by Jan (sure) - remains of one soft fish very probably, №2 swaloved it
- chicks alone: from 07:46:48 (Jan out) to 11:07:54 (Jan in)
2/ 11.08 FEEDING by Jan - more (not big) fishes for all chicks
- chicks alone: from 11:09:06 (Jan out) to 14:17:03 (Jan in)
3/ 14.17 FEEDING by Jan - not big pile of something for all (maybe) - edit: little fishes (thanx Birdfriend)
- chicks alone: from 14:17:17 (Jan out) to 19:14:32 (Jan in)
4/ 19.14 FEEDING by Jan - not big pile of something for all (maybe)
- chicks alone: from 19:14:41 (Jan out) to 20:33:13 (Janika in)
5/20.33 FEEDING by Janika (sure) - pile of food, maybe Portuguese slugs (thx Summi)
- chicks alone: from 20:33:29 (Janika out)

very probably all nestlings got food in each feeding
