08:17 feeding Kaia
Unfortunately it wasn't easy to see what was going on. Kaia brought a lot with her.
Udu is full!

Good morning!
Great news!
And Kaia was here too
Thank you very much, Liz01 and Swenja!
The weather is better too
I am also very grateful to Urmas and his team.
We have a rare opportunity to watch this nest life. And helping birds keeps the heart warm!

I received a reply from Urmas this early afternoon saying that it is perfectly OK to share his information and images on the forum.
He also wrote that the fish cage is obviously not always filled.
Urmas had put some 70 small fish in it.
Thank you so much for all your work and endless dedication, Urmas!
We are very grateful to you.

Good morning!
As soon as storklets flew Kaia appeared with breakfast. Was it a game "Fledge or stay hungry"?

Many thanks for the pictures and videos, Liz!
Oh dear, I missed Udu’s and Pikne’s maiden flights.
So beautiful. They were clearly ready for it.
Swenja, thank you too!
I’m so glad for the oldest two, they were very eager to fly…
Today, Udu and Pikne are 68 days old. Tuul is 66 days old.

Well done, brave Udu!
Pikne and Tuul were very happy and had a very short "beak fight"
Tuul measures the distance...

... and tests the strength of the wings
... and jumps...
But Pikne stretches his/her legs
and again... 10:12:39 Udu flies away!
10:17:43 s/he is back
When s/he returns, Tuul taps his/her head lightly. I think s/he's jealous or was worried

Hurray, already the second feeding today!
The storklets must now be very attentive and rush home on time if they do not want to miss any feedings.

Hello @ Anne7
Thank you for the message from Urmas. Karl II must have brought fish from the feed basket with him today.

Kaia (if it was Kaia, very hard to see on the small pics) visited the fish basket this morning!
I’ll post a few pictures of it as soon as I have a little break.
And I will check OrniTrack to see if Karl II has been there too.
Edit:
From Urmas:
"Black Stork without rings and without transmitter visited early morning feeding place. Was there at least half of hour. Can't say if it was Kaia. Is she preparing for migration or was it some other stork?"
"8:29 not ringed stork is back in feeder, last picture 9:04
11:12 back in feeder again, 11:53 last picture
Probably there is no more fish and stork had a look along stream. Will go and add fish... "
OrniTrack Morning information.
Flown distance (so far): 22.2 km
Battery level: 72%
Karl II spent the night in a wooded place, near a brook at about 19.5 km from the nest.
His working day started at 05:09.
He went fishing along that brook until 07:39.
At 07:54, he is fishing in a small river that fows in (or out) a lake, at about 17.5 km from the nest.
At 09:54 he is on his way home, speed 52 km/h.
At 10:18 he is on the nest.
So no, he didn't visit the fish basket this morning.
Which is good! It means that he can still find food for his storklets himself.

(sorry for the wrong chronology now!)
10:22 It´s hard to understand where Udu is... s/he went down to the right. Or suddenly flew away?
They watch him/her fly?
10:30:53/55 Now we see Udu climbing into the nest ... on the right...
