Karl II sits on her and stands on her wing when he gets up. The female gets up. It gives the impression that it hurt. :unsure:

To celebrate the 110th birthday of Estonian nature conservation, short videos were made about Estonian national parks (voice-over in Estonian). The video about Karula national park includes a 30 second clip, where you can see the black stork camera nest and Urmas and Ain fixing the GPS transmitter on one of the storklets.

In 2019, Kaupo & Gaja (Latvia), who also did not breed that year, were still mating in June. :D

The nest material is now loosened up nicely.

The female is resting well now.
It's nice to see how calm the female can now be alone in the nest. At first she didn't like being alone in the nest.
