You´re welcome! I'm glad you liked the photos!
...
EDIT:
Looks like we can't get the camera back. And it's dark anyway. We know that there is Karl II in the nest.
Thank you, Swenja, for today's beautiful report!

I hope to see Karl II again tomorrow morning in such wonderful sunlight (Kaia standing next to him), as it was on May 12th.

Good night everybody!

Hello Swenja :hi:

13:13 Kaia still didn’t come home.
I hope she’s OK. She’s gone since yesterday at 16:50.

13:42 Kaia is still away
Karl II is incubating and waiting patiently.

13:46:18 is there someone near the nest? There was a loud sound of breaking branches.

Is everything okay in your throat?

Image

Hello Anne7

You can hear noises all the time. Karl II has been watching the area carefully for two hours.

He also often looks up.

Maybe that’s the reason why Kaia doesn’t come home?
Kaia is extremely shy. It’s Sunday. Perhaps many people enjoy the nice weather and are having a walk in the area?

14:25 Kaia still didn’t return.

14:35 still waiting for Kaia

There are many ways Kaia isn't back yet. But I don't want to think about any of these options at the moment.

Karl II is in the nest for almost 24 hours. (yesterday 16:50)

Image

Since noon today, it is actually very quiet again. No more noise.

:hi: everyone,

I don't know what to say except that i feel so sorry for Karl II. He may have just swallowed the last food reserves (15.43). I don't dare to think what happens when the storklets hatch. But we're not that far yet, i don't want to express bad thoughts either, and yet i don't have a good feeling.

Hello, Balistar

The situation is indeed not very reassuring.
In my opinion, it’s not a good sign that Kaia stays away for so long.
She should have been home in the (early) morning... to do her share of the work.
But let’s not give up hope too quickly.

Kaia, where are you?

 Anne,

yes, you are certainly right. We should take an example from Karl II, who doesn't give up anytime soon, come what may.

I surely don't give up hope too soon either, it's just.... watching him waiting like that and knowing that our princess Kaia is of utmost delicacy and has not the most strong nerves.

17.00.24 finallyyyyyyy - Kaia comes to the nest :loveshower: :faint: (after 24 hrs 10 min, since yesterday 16.50)

17.00.36 Karl II loses neither time nor words, he quickly flies off to the right, most likely to satisfy his hunger

Hurray! Thank heavens, there she is! :headroll:

Kaia, don't do that to Karl II again!

Balistar, that’s a very nice way to describe our little Kaia.
Sometimes, I think she’s just as sensitive as the princess in Hans Christian Andersen‘s fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea".
