As migration has begun, should be open to post - and I hinted on Aug 10 to this possibility to continue...
Thank you for the friendly hint, Katinka, the BS Tracks Topic is re-opened to post again.

Hi all! I am new to the forum, but have watched
the Black Storks and the two babies grow up.
I was so surprised to first see the Black Storks
as I have watched the White Storks in Germany
for a couple of years. The Black Storks quickly
found my heart. Anyway, just wanted to say
hello. I am trying to figure out how to do things
on here like post pictures, get my own avatar on.
Guess I have all winter to figure it out. I wish the
Black Storks a safe journey for the winter. Anyway
it is wonderful to be a part of this forum family.
Have a good day! JeanModelT from Michigan, USA.

Hi JeanModelT,
I have been watching the black storks for two seasons now. The parents are so doting, never ever leave the young until they are quite grown. I was so impressed with them. I miss everyone already. I'm from Ohio, so hi neighbor.

Welcome to the forum JeanModelT & love-nature-ohio-us :headroll:
Good to have you here. There are still some webcams ongoing. Go to index & see the last of the ospreys as they learn to fish & cope alone for migration to Africa.
In camera links lots of webcams signalled. In the social link you can go to Conversations to introduce yourself....so much going on all around the forum.
Enjoy.

For anyone who is suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome see
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=521&start=1100.
It is not species-specific, but is intended to be nature-orientated.

The topic Black Stork Tracks has been moved to Migration Map and News.

As there are fewer Estonian black storks to discuss, but a lot more migration news to come, it seemed the appropriate place for it.

Find food and a little rest during their flight to the south, somewhere in the Netherlands.

I'm still watching this wonderful nest. Empty, but still beautiful forest sounds. It's on during my sleep hours, your day hours. I will really miss it. :offtobed:
