Hi!

Unfortunately BS do not breed this year in this nest. Tiina is somewhere out there but not very close. I went there to watch over the area for few hours and didn´t saw any BS although all Buzzards and other raptors were flying well.

BS have visited the nest shortly two times which shows one bird breeding around here is occasionally visiting the nest but his/her nest might be 5-30 km away (they fly sometimes very far from nest). Tiina might be on the closest territory but maybe not.

Ural Owl who visited the nest have already nestlings so they do not use the nest this year. But we keep the cam open to see what is happening here and I try to locate the closest BS territory.

Thanks renno!

Seems the mic is a bit distorted, I reported a Mistle Trush earlier but that could be wrong, sure I've heard Bramblings and a drumming Lesser Spotted Woodpecker anyway. (silly bird idiot me  )

I think the stork who was here two times was Tiina, she moved to another nest(which may be pretty far from this place) and just made short visits here.

Thank you, Renno, for telling us what you’ve found out!
It’s a pity that no Black Storks are nesting here this season, - but we can’t change it.
I would be happy if you would tell us now and then about Black Storks you maybe localize in the region.

BTW: For me the BS on April 18th looks much more like Tiina as the first Stork on April 10th. Her face and eyes, her movement on the nest... All this reminds very much of Tiina. Maybe she was it and breeds somewhere else. But the main thing is she is well. :2thumbsup:

The eagle didn't even eat the eggs but just stole and dropped them down. In Latvian forum somebody wrote that WTE are one of the most dangerous enemies for storks.

Tiina may use this nest for the short rest.

Yesterday Tiina cames the same time when in 18.04.2015.- about 13.30.
In 18 of march Tiina came and got away in the same direction.
Yesterday Tiina came in the same direction. This all can see on BS forums videos - Bea´s videos.
Looking above the nest you can see trees and bushes. She flyingin their
direction and then turnes left.
