Of course, Solo, I also watch "my" beautiful Lodz BS. How could I not watch the Black Storks, which (I suppose) nest about a dozen or so km from my home. I am glad that they are still with us. But when they finally fly away, I miss them, too.
Sometimes I am a little worried that they spend too much time in the nest rather than improve the efficiency of catching fish. But perhaps unnecessarily worried. When a parent stops to feed them, they will be forced to gain the food alone.

sad to see the nest empty, but happy that they have left the nest. is there away to track their migration?
Hello Maxie4paws.
Only Karl was equipped with a satellite transmitter, and only his route of migration will be possible to trace. Storklets, as well as their mom Kati, did not get such backpacks, and their movement will remain a mystery to us.

Karl didn't work in the nest like Tiit or Tiina did at the end of seasons?

Most likely not, he was preening his feathers most time from his inhabitation.

If someone would like to watch the entire farewell visit of Karl, here's the video (25 min).
Edit: Such behaviour may be evidence that Karl probably not intends to use his nest longer in the current season.
