Karl already did some work - didn´t he? Imo the nest looks better than some days ago.

Karl has started the nest preparation, he has been flying back and forth, collecting nest material.

20:02 - Standing on the nest edge, preening. Lots of things to do when you have been on a long journey.

Good evening,
what a happy day! It is so great to see Karl back on his nest. The light conditions on the nest show all his beauty  and the cam view is excellent.

Nevertheless, I admit, I have been surprised that Karl is not flown away immediately when he saw the state of the nest . On the contrary! He tries the repair!
I have no trust in the old tree and the construction of the nest. I'm very afraid that the next heavy storm could tear down the nest. Don't you have the same fears? I've read what Urmas has written about this matter. Anything can happen ... So I'm not sure if I should be happy about Karls tries of repairs. Difficult issue ...

However, here some pictures, I could get in the early evening. It's a great pleasure, to see Karl acting on his nest.

Thanks a lot to all for the beautiful pictures! Especially for the videos, Liz and George! I enjoyed them a lot and saw them again and again. Singing Karl is so awesome and touching. :D

I am so glad that Karl has done well. He was a good father. Whether partner Kati? She had disappeared so suddenly after a storm, right?

On sunday I saw 2 Black Storks in live. They build a nest, but they are not free birds

These are pics from Mackos :hi: video of Karls arrival. Karl did not hesitate to place immediately the big branches on better positions. I am curious how this will go on. Hopefully he will not endanger the nest statics. 8-)
