Was it a snake or a Slowworm (Anguis fragilis)?

Hagnat, it was an adder, I believe. (Viper) Vipera berus (L.)
http://www.wild-scotland.org.uk/species/82/adder/
A snake with a distinctive black zig-zag pattern down its back. A female can be up to 750mm in length and usually has a brown colour; males are smaller, up to 600mm, and have a light grey colour.
Both males and females can be black in their more northern ranges, but on close inspection, in sunshine, the black zig-zag pattern is still visible against the blue black of the scales

It all happens so fast!
First, Karl regurgitated fish (roach)
The second pile looked more predigested. I could not see what it was either.

Anne, let me start to say I don't know much about snakes but what comes out of Karl's beak to me looks like a Grass Snake......Anne7 wrote: ↑June 18th, 2018, 5:42 pm Hagnat, it was an Adder, I believe. (Viper) Vipera berus (L.)

I'm not an expert either, Timea.
Since there are only two snake species living in Estonia, one of us is probably right.
The reptiles living in Estonia are listed here:

Is there someone on the forum who can tell us what snake this was, please?

I can only help to reveal my experiences as a child.
Blind crawlers and grass snakes were curling up in my arms, for me they were snakes. I had an armistice with Kreuzottern. Hagnat can be right.

I believe I think a lot too. And I think I also believe a lot.
21:51 Right now, I think the storklets are ready for the night.
Good night, everyone.
Tomorrow, I will be absent, I believe.
