Remember that without rings or (preferably) transmitters you will never know how long they live. Without it they can leave the nest and drop dead as soon as they are out of sight and nobody will ever know, even if they are found. No more than anonymous corpses.

@Timea :wave:
I think it is important to have some storks with a transmitter to protect all the other storks. Because you can get a lot of data from the transmitters that you apply to other storks.
It can be part of animal welfare, but it also needs to be implemented.

It's good that Urmas wants to take all factors into account and minimize known risks. Urmas also has a good, safe hand for the little storks. We have been able to see this for ourselves in recent years.

I am confident. The stress for the storks will be - but Urmas can do that well. Or not?

Good, Solo. We should all take care to guard our mental hygeine. For instance, by turning away from TV pictures of animals being ill-treated, or other acts of violence. We don't need that nasty stuff in our heads.

This is the third tree recently. I hope that the wet does not affect the tree of the storks.

The tree is strong, otherwise Urmas would not have built a new nest there!

Yes, several trees (or big branches) came down, recently.
I wonder if that's normal?

Good night, everyone!

It is still raining quite heavily. 2,5 more hours to go.

22:20 The storklets are tired. It is still raining.
Image

23:00 It is completely dark now. I still hear the rain fall. Poor little storklets.
In about one hour the weather should get better.

Hello, everyone!
Thanks for the pictures!

10:13 Come on Kati. Your children are hungry. It has been a very long and cold night.
They look a bit miserable.
Image

10:27 Still no breakfast. This long cold shower did not improve the whiteness of their plumage. :slap:
