Hello everyone :hi:
Good timing to join the forum now when Aru is finally going south :D
I have been following this nest for many years.
Now I finally got to register.

Thank you all for reporting and adding pictures. You all are incredibly good and the knowledge...
I have not much time to spend watching this nest daily but I really try.
Ou dear, what am I going to do now on breakfast and dinner when the nest is empty

To Aru and Oru, safe winds and easy wings.
Be safe!

Certainly also with oru, Karl II, Kati, Karula, Mare, and all our beloved storks and we will never forget all those we lost. I still miss them!

i like the birdmaps and to see how far the get, every day a little more and more :)
empty-nest syndrome
Yes, we'll have a hard time ahead of us, have to get accustomed to the empty nest...

Yes, English is too simple. But it is native English speakers who often pronounce the word love not quite in the sense we think. For its part, it was the promise of good mood to you, nothing more :D and it looks like the goal is achieved :rotf:

Hellow Chali :hi:

Welcome Chali! :gathering:

It is wonderful that the good news caused some people to register!
We are always happy to see new faces!

Nice to hear it, Ari

I often observe the current situation of storks here and in the nest. Many interesting things I learned about the life and survival of black storks.

Unfortunately I am a 'mute swan' and speak poorly English literally I want to debate, but I am afraid of the interpretation of the translation
But I am happy to have the opportunity to read and see at least.
Kisses and hugs to all!
Soveiga & others, please don’t let your English skills get in the way.
I think everyone here enjoys discussions and photos and it doesn’t have to be in perfect English.

I would strongly argue that you (and most people on this forum) have very good written English. As a native speaker, I have no problem understanding. :D
Plus, Google translate is always available.
I think that one of the best things on this forum is that it is international!

Typically, I try to stay in line with chronology,
but this evening I think it is fair for all of us to
celebrate with photos of our beloved Aru! :loveshower:

He was so kind to model in front of the cam this morning.

...will miss these pencil-thin legs...

Haha, nice! Me too :shake:

And wild fresh nature, free birds, love, which makes sense on this earth and forces it to spin along with the wings of adorable birds.

Tonight I'll dream of those thin pencil legs, Ari19.
The lullaby of the stork's beaks and flapping wings will be replaced by the rustling forest till spring time :puzzled:

But tomorrow we'll be able to see how far they've flown. It's great!

Bye-bye :offtobed:

Jo UK, jes, I will follow Karl’s family, again 😁 worrying.
Hopefully this winter season is happier than last winter.

I miss already the chicks. It was so nice to see them grow, from hatching to now, leaving ”home”, going south...
on their own...

Chali, I agree with the worrying part! :rotf:
So much for relaxing nature!
The webcams are more nerve wracking than any tv series or horror movie.
Of course, we also receive great joy too, like today!

The feather is still there :)

And a butterfly (Admiral = Vanessa atalanta, Syn.: Pyrameis atalanta) likes to sunbath without the risk to be eaten ;)
