Liz, wasn't that a cute feeding session? ..........
That's one thing about storks that is so different from other nestlings - the parents puts the food on the ground and don't feed it to them individually.
Hellen, yes it was
Storks are very different from other birds. I love it when they form a circle and beg for food when the parents come to the nest. And I love their voices. :innocent:
The parents can not cut the food and they can not give it to the chicks directly. They have no control over the food they bring with them.
Thus, they can not feed the first hatched chick feed as first.. They spit the food into the nest and that's it.
If there is too little food, they have to throw one out of the Nest. As I said, they have no control over who gets to eat how much.

Hello everyone, thanks a lot for your documentation. What a joy that they all have suitable food (small bites) and that they are well fed  . And they are so cute :loveshower: ... I have not seen yet the situation that three chicks were born during one day. Amazing and very good because of their size :D .

Good luck to you, dear storklets, also to your sibling not hatched yet and of course also to your wonderful parents!
