10:29 and the storklets are still alerted. since 5:39 in the early morning

I do a video of these cruel attacks later .. much later. I feel really sick now.
If you watch them every day, it is especially hard to bear.

oh mann
may be urmas can have a look to the fallen sibling ? *still hope a little*
obviously the goshawk(s) haven't found the sibling. perhaps even not seen falling, who knows ? otherwise they could already eat and stay away - but they didn't.

Dear Crissy, you can definitely make a video. Anyone can do it who wants. I would be happy about that. :2thumbsup:
Then I do only one for my channel. Then I have time to do it. At the moment I can not and do not want to.

The remaining two storklets are tough but very nervous, understandably so. They have managed well to fend off several attacks from the hawk the last hour or so. Wonder how often the parents show up, haven't seen them for days but have not kept the nest under constant check, of course.

What a picture, Liz  this proves more than anything, that size of a prey is no concern for goshawk...

Liz01 wrote: June 20th, 2019, 10:23 am leonia, I think it does not matter to the chicks if she is still young. She is tall and she attacks the little ones very often-
Liz, I first thought that it was an older goshawk that could have chicks to feed, because I had not time enough to look at the video, but looked at the live-stream instead. But than my friend told me, it is a young female. So there may be a chance she may loose interest on the nest. In the other case it would have been even worse.

When you see the time. It's a fraction of a second. Our storks reacted incredibly fast. They are amazing

Hello everyone,

what is this? A storklet is lost!?
Oh no no ...
I couldn't read the morning reports til now, saw only one, two pictures ...
How awful is that! Two days ago I told a colleague that the storklets are now too big to get catched by a goshawk. What a fallacy!

At 11:23 the storklets growled and clattered with their beaks again for a short moment and looked down to the left.
Image

At 11:34 they growled again. Is the goshawk still in the area? I have to read back all.

Edit:
11:38 Again a short growling.

11:40 Again.

11:44 They growled again. 20 seconds later once more.
