This morning Stephi and Tuuli were side by side but then Stephi was trying to get under mum, but she does not fit very well.


Tuuli is calling for breakfast.

..."but she does not fit very well". Hmm, it's raining, Phi is well hidden under ma.

Yes in this rain she has managed to burrow a bit further under.

10:56 Absolutely wet Remo delivered breakfast for Stephi


Stephi grabbed food from Remo and swallowed it immediately

10:57 After meal - to the toilet




Bigger than mom

13:22 Remo delivered a vole - Stephi wanted to grab it from Remo but Tuuli didn`t let her
Littel Pi grabbed for it several times

Tuuli couldn`t rip it fast enough for Stephi

13:50 Same procedure with a frog

I´m sure Stephi could swallow a soft frog of this size whole, but Tuuli didn`t let her

It is because Kalev is younger than Stephi who will soon teach to eat himself.

18:23 - Poor Stepi is hungry. She is calling for Tuuli, and trying to eat a frog. Maybe Remos 17:39 delivery?

It's less than a week age difference so I can't imagine Eha will treat Kalev alike within a few days. On the other side Tuuli made positive experience with her education, she will know how to make it right.

Stephi worked hard on the frog, but successfully!
Time to grow up and getting independent is short and Stephi managed her problem (the frog ) alone

Frog is the easiest food to eat without mom. Voles, moles and especially birds are much worse. Maybe Tuuli speacially left the frog to teach Stephi?

A week ago Tuuli didn't leave Stephi for so long! And Miks in Latvia is alone also for longer periods. I think they know very well from when on the little ones can fend for themselves. Plus - we see only this small area, we don't see where Tuuli spends her day, it might be just on a tree a few hundred meters away! Tormi stayed alone last year as well (and I remember some people here were also very worried ...)

Very nice to see Tuuli at home with little Pi. Felis is right. It was the same last year, and we where worried then also..
