from Polly: ... blue tit parents ... stop feeding during the rain.
Probably to avoid bringing wetness into the nest.
No, they do not find enough bugs. When this weather persists, the blue tit chicks will starve.

Maia is sleeping
I have never seen the osprey sleep so calmly and for a long time, hiding its head completely under the wing.
Maximum - take a nap. And Irma always opened one eye while the other was asleep.

Sappheira, thank you. The birch trunk is a good place to lean the head on. :whistling:

Sappheira - the reason for being able to sleep more calmly may also be that the osprey nests are really very exposed being on the highest trees without any other trees closely around, while the LSE are relatively hidden.

In my opinion, Magnus, in comparison with Tõnn, is more patiently incubating.

17.34 Tiiu likes to keep a dry sprig in its beak, and Maia likes a spruce twig. :innocent:

The resinous branch stuck to the beak, how to get rid of it now? :puzzled:

Hello to all. I made this video, a compilation of one day - building a nest from the early morning, it was still almost dark, and before sunset.

Maia was very active in the morning. A non-ringed male all day. And brought food four or five times.
What struck me - the size of the nest. It is so small. As if done on for one chick. Two birds with difficulty fit on it.

And yet - how abruptly they stretch their necks and look at each other. Looks very frightening ... Look at the 10th minute.

Another little frog for Maia. She swallows them instantly and obviously she does not have enough of this amount of food.
