Sweet to see how Maia gets confused: she wants to feed but little Chick is still asleep and does not react. Maia begins to replace the rodent, starts again biting a piece off and does not know what to do.

And then finally Chick is awake but still not hungry yet. As far as I could see not 1 bite went in.

Good evening everybody, and thank you so much for the reports from today`s happy event :bounce:

20:24 - Maia is doing some house work in the nest bowl, and a little fluffy ball was visible for a moment :loveshower:

I think it`s an alarm call, and that the bird has a nest nearby. The LSE`s are scary neighbours, their kids might end up as dinner. We have experienced it earlier, when trushes, fieldfares (and also jays) have seen them as a threat.

Thanks Flacko. Right now there is a GreatTit, but probably nothing wrong with the Wood Warbler, just too monotone sounding.
When it sings its actually very cute song (titit...ti..ti.ti.ti.t.TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR https://youtu.be/JZftYO1Qemo?t=9) . But yeah the constant alarm tiiu tiiu first was cute but after hour it can become a bit annoying. I understand if bird is in alarm for a few times, but in alarm mode all day o_O?

The baby is soooo cuuute omg! its my most watched cam this year, 2nd is Kalakotkas 1 and 2. I mostly use these as BG ambient when I work so i can keep up the stuff happening.

Maia got up, -maybe a bit too wild- Chick lost its balance and ended upon its back, but was able to get itself upright again.
Image
All Maia wanted was to feed the little one, several bites went down.

Yes, these nests are great to watch and follow. The singing of the small bird is nice but indeed the continued tsjuuu-tsjuuu becomes rather irritating at some point :rotf:

Already becoming so stable, looking around

and at Mom, who tries to cover it, but Chick follows Maia with its head, bends backwards and then tumbles over.
But soon it is on its belly again.

I had hoped that too. There are rare cases where 2 chicks have grown up.
