Belwood Lake

At noon was a long feeding. Luther was there over the completely time. Maybe, he was looking, if Sera makes it better now.

The great people at Cornell Lab of Ornithology captured this video today of the recently fledged Osprey eating a fish on a branch.

Go check out SFBayOspreys.org now. The three nestlings got banded this morning. They awoke up from their nap just in time to upstage a big ship coming into Point Portrero on our livestream, with a fresh view.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Luther brought a good size fish, Sera took him and starts feeding the chicks. It was a calm feeding, both chicks have good eaten. Luther almost stays on the nest during feeding and eating. :2thumbsup:

After feeding, at this time both siblings have the same size.

:hi: Birdfriend,

I just watched the last four hours.
The kid got something right away. It was the first fish.
Image

The whole family. An hour earlier, the father had brought the second fish.
Image

Then he came with the third fish.
Image

The feeding went off peacefully. I didn't see any punches. With enough food this is also rare.

Good to read, yesterday the elder sibs were aggressive against the third chick, he/she was submissive. During a later feeding he/she claimed stronger her/his food and got some good pieces. :2thumbsup:

Luther comes with a big bunch of new grass. Sera meant it would be nice to bring an fresh fish...She left for a while. Dad stays there meanwhile.

Edit: I have the cam open since over five hours, no fish is delivered from Luther. Also the days ago only less fish, I ask me, if there a problem with food (fish) availability. :puzzled: I hope he can fishing more soon.
