Do you know, why Vuokko has only one ring, on his right leg? He hasn't the ring with big numbers or letters as the Estonian and Latvian ospreys have.

Along with the metal rings additional rings like colored foot- or neck rings can be used, but they are only used in special researchers and they need a special permission. (Reference: http://www.luomus.fi/elaintiede/rengast ... enkaat.htm)

Hailuoto nest probably isn´t part of the special researches.
But for example our satellite tracked Osprey, Ilmari and his mate did get plastic rings.

Thank you for answer, Starling. I didn't know it. Maybe we (in Estonia) have so little number of osprey nests, that they all are parts of the special researches.
