Belwood Lake

After some hours Luther finally arrived with a fish. Sera took him and started to fed one of the chicks, then the other chick grabs the fish from her and starts to feed him/herself. Sera lets him make. Later the other sibling can claim the fish. They are really fast developer.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Wow, since when is she hunting? Not often to see at this stage from chick. At the beginning I had a bit sorrow about her behaviour.
Thank you for this video, Chimega.

Well I am really not sure when she started hunting for the chick. I belong to that group but am always too busy to get over there with everything at Hellgate. A friend asked me to shoot the video of her bringing in the shark and since that seems rather unusual, I posted it, here. The chick seems very healthy and well fed, too. A huge relief.

Rachel's little one is practicing.
I am glad that the local people could still do something to save the chick.

Belwood Lake

Luther brings a smaller fish. Sera took it over from him. Some minutes later one from the chicks took the fish from her and is feeding him/herself.

Now, the chick has the opinion, that Mom can still feed a bit better.
